Hi guys,
My car battery is dead. My real battery charger which has 2 charging modes, 2amp and 15 amp, seems to also be dead.
Is it possible in theory to charge this car battery using a transformer that is rated at say 2 amps of out put, 12 volts DC ?
I never thought of it before, but charging a car battery, or AA batteries in a tiny charger that you use in your camera, is nothing more than DC voltage flowing into
those batteries ... is that correct ?
I have one of these stupid new electronic car battery chargers that won't charge unless it detects some juice inside of the battery... if there is none, nothing comes out in terms
of voltage out of the battery charger.
What happened to the good old days when we had battery chargers that just put out voltage, without needing to connected to anything. I DID have one of these old old chargers,
and stupid me, tossed it out last year. Argh. It was old, but it still worked. I could just plug it into the wall, and test the 2 alligator clip things coming off of it, and it was showing voltage... but these new chargers... nothing. :-(
Well if anyone wishes to answer my question above, I'd be very happy !
thanks guys.
