Hi,

Anyone already design this...I would like to distribuate 16 CATV feeds.
The amplifier must works at 54Mhz to 900MHz.

Gain must be around x16 (~30dB)

Any advice will be appreciated !.

regards

Two-stage amplifier with BFG 520 at 25 mA and BGF198 at 60 mA should do.
That is,if you have ever made CATV amps.
Otherwise prepare for some troubles.

Do you know any opamp who can do the job instead of transistors ?
Opamp will be easier to work .....

cheers

Forget about opamps.
But there are some hybrid ICs that are VERY good amplifiers (low noise, low distortion etc) but are rather expensive and drain a lot of current.
Just an example: Philips' BGE885.
