How do you tell the differense between Ecaps and non Ecaps if they look alike. There is no indication of minus or plus and both ends have a groove. What are they?

ecaps = electrolytic caps?
electrolytic capacitors are usually marked. If they look like ceramic capacitors, then it hard to tell of coarse.

Usually, Tantalum caps are the ones that look similar to ceramics... but alot of them are marked. If they are not marked, then it will be hard

So if it has no indication of which pin is neg or pos it's a non-Ecap even though it has the same casing?
