Can you use E-TCH within EDGE for voice?

Hi

Is the E-TCH "Enhanced Treffic Channel" channel used for data only or it could be used for voice also?

According to specifications it can be used. It could be used in conjunction with AMR, especially AMR-WB (wide band). It is a key component of next step in GSM evolution - Flexible Layer 1

it is available as an ebook and probably could be found in theforum.
