is it possible to design and simulate microstrip antenna with nec, i will design and use antenna so it is important if it uses h (width)

it must have 3 dimension.

does the nec gives results like hfss?

nec and microstrip

NEC is used mainly when you have wire structures,
or in other way when the wire is small with respect
of the wavelenght. In order to use NEC for patch
antenna then I think you need to simulate a bunch
of wires and connect them together to simulate
an area. It just take longer time to draw a structure,
that is all.

Re: nec and microstrip

Hi....Yes you can do that with the NEC.

once before i used NEC-2D ...in the manuals of this code you can find some instruction about how to include the effect of the substrate in your design.
