Hello, I've a TP4056 USB-C charging and battery protection module. There are two LEDs on the module, one of which shows if the battery is charging and the other one shows if the charging is done. I want to replace the LED which shows if the batteries are charging with a natural white 5050 LED that works on 3-3.2V because the module will be in an encapsulation and the LED won't be seen from outside. I plan to connect the 5050 with a jumper cable.

Can I just replace it or are there things I need to consider before acting. I may measure the voltage drop across the LEDs on the module to see if it is around 3V for example. What else? Thanks.

Hi,

like so often in electronics. It´s about voltage and current.

And you need to these informations to do calcultions or check compatibility.
A marketplace site usually does not give reliable and complete specificaions.
