I need to make myself component. I can make complete component, but i can't find the way to edit existing symbol ieg.
i want to make PIC12F675 from PIC12F629 i need to make some changes. I need to change label of device and label of one pin. How can i do that, i don't want to draw whole symbol from scratch, i want to edit existing symbol and save it like new one.

I think i made myself clear?

- open the existing symbol
- group (select) and cut (copy) the whole symbol
- create a new symbol and paste the old symbol which can then be modified

Thanks for reply but the problem still exists. See the picture

click on "Name", then click on the pin. A window pops up and you can change the name. You can't use the "change text" function to do this.
