Buying Altera, Xilinx devices online from the UK

Can anyone tell me where I ca buy FPGA’s online.
Xilinx offer Spartan 3’s from their online store.
Altera don’t seem to offer any.
Farnell and RS seem to only carry old overpriced devices.

Its quite a painful experience trying to get a price out of the specialist distributors, especially when you are trying to make design decisions and want to know the cost of variations of devices from several device families.

Pricing on website and much lower than Franchise Distributors (Arrow,Digi-Key ect).

Schukat is in Germany, Mercurtintonline appear to be in New York. I don't see the UK connection at either of these distributors.
