atmel orcad library

Hi all i have a problem with Orcad 9.2, For a simulation of microcontrollers "ATMEL Mcs" AVR and 8051
family and realy with all microcontrollers, when all schematic is completed and going to run the
simulation the following warning appears (No PSpiceTemplate for U1, ignoring
Unable to find index file avr.ind for library file avr.olb
Making new index file avr.ind for library file avr.olb
Index has 0 entries from 1 file(s).
).

please try to help as much as you can
regards, eehero

orcad atmel library

Why you need to simulate a microcontroller with Orcad?
What kind of simulation are you performing?

Bye

i need that simulation because i need it, if u have any help do that.

Added after 1 minutes:

pspice 9.2 has very big library, i wanna to make usefulness of this library and many more

pspice microcontroller

i think orcard MCU is not simulatable...can only be used for pcb designing...for MCU simulation use Proteus...it is very good simulator software for all kind of uc.

orcad microcontroller

In OrCAD only the components in the folder PSPICE can be simulated (only thse have models).I guess you designed the schematic using components available only for schematic capture.
If you need only to simulate the current used by the uC, replace it with a current sink, with a current determined from the datasheet, depending on the clock freq, sleep mode, etc.

Microcontrollers can't be simulated in orcad PSPICE, the only digital circuits that can be simulated are classical TTL&CMOS and circuits that have VHDL models.
Maybe you can simulate the microcontroller in Proteus.
To simulate a microcontroller you need to provide the code that runs in the uC.

no pspicetemplate for u1, ignoring

Use Proteus
it is very good simulator for MC
I Uses it to semulates AT89c/s5x, AVR, PIC.
everything is ok
try it

orcad library atmel

Proteus is good software for simulate microcontroller. I try this.

orcad microcontroller simulation

I like Proteus, It is a good software, but i am not anything that i want

atmega orcad library

Orcad does not simulate processors.

atmel.olb

Orcad simulate the discrete circuit such as mos bjt timer 555 and some ics from basic ttl , cmos library etc.
But orcad does not provide the mc mp simulation in its own range but if you still want to do than follows the steps for creating the component in spice library. Your prog become your internal hw . and that should be specific.

This from my own experience .

orcad atmel

Why do you need to simulate a microcontroller on ORCAD ?
ORCAD can not start a simulation unless everything it simulates is well defined and modeled. On any microcontroller an infinite number of programs can be written , thats why ORCAD doesn't simulate it.
I suggest that you use either Kiel , IAR or Franklin for simulating and/or debugging your programs on 8051.

pspics

with ORCAD cou van simulate only analog processes.
as you can see form your message, orcad uses industry-standart spice simulator for that purpose.

if you want to make analog simulation, e.g. simulate switchig process of an inductor, power FET and PWM of some mega, you can use ORCAD to do this.

but, if you want to make logic (programm) simulation, the right choise is PROTEUS

simulate atmel orcad

CHECK THE FRONTLINE-ELECTRONICS TOPVIWE SIMULATOR FROM INDIA.

atmel orcad libraries

I think that as other pepole says here, the pspice can not simulate microcontrollers

pspice unable to find index file

I have my own experience on OrCAD.

OrCAD can not simulate most of its components (except CMOS, TTL, and some few simple chips) because there are not modeled correctly. It is mainly exist for PCB projets..

for Atmel UC, you may use another programs. I used for atmel a program called "keil". This program is mainly a compiler, it converts the codes written in C/C++ or Assembly language into the corresponding Hexa code that will be burned on the uc flash.
But the big merit in it is that the "debugging" of the code. You can debug your code before converting it and while debugging (can be done line by line) you can check input and output ports changes and test that if the code is working properly or not. So noneed for OrCAD with uc's.

Hope I was helpful..
if you need the program tell me to upload it.

sorry for large reply
Thanks

download componente orcad atmega8

hi,
i need Microprocessor library of orcad 9.2 that be include MC68010.

microcontroller spice model

i think proteus is the bes solution spice is not for mcu

microcontroller orcad analysis

proteus use for MCU simulator
Pspice use for Analog simulator

atmega16 orcad library

i think for you
proteus is the right solution because it is easy to use.

you can download a demo version from the site

:)

hye..
proteus is better...but the demo version cannot save and simulate the new design..how can i get the software that can simulate and compitible with window vista..thankyou
