Area related checks in RTL design

I want to perform area related checks in my RTL . can somebody help me in the list of checks that should be checked ?:?:

Hi first of all you should constrain ur design using SDC set_max_area command to specify your area requirement and then use report_area to check the area of your RTL in DC. On looking into the report you can find whether your area requirement is met or not. If not met, go for incremental_compile option/ compile dc_ultra for advanced synthesis.
