i am now designing a burst mode VCO as well as burst mode CDR.
the previous version uses the ring oscillator, which can lock to the incoming data instantaneously.
however, its oscillating frequency is low. now i want to design VCO which can oscillate at 10GHz, so i may have to choose to use LC VCO.
however, the startup time of LC VCO is too long.

is there anyone can give me some suggestion on designing the burst mode LC VCO? thanks.
