alternative for t-sop??

hello every one,
is there any alternative for t-sop???t-sop is so sensetive with supply and gives numerous problems while adjusting,how to have the frequency receiver part much stable and effective?????

hello keith,
i m using t-sop to deal with infrared......to go on details,i have frequency of 38khz from ir and t-sop 1738 but sometimes it works and sometimes fails.i m not being able to make it stable!!!!!!!

Are you transmitting data e.g. like a TV remote control or are you simply using it to detect if light is present or not?
