Hello Everyone;
Can we analyze a discrete receiver by ADS2004? How about analysis of block diagram of it? How about determining Dynamic Range and IP3 of it? How about analysing circuit level of it (which contains mixer ICs and ...)?

u can do all of what u said in ads 4 sure

check RF system design guide , for system level simulation

and in circuit simulation , u can simulate LNA , Mixers oscillator , and PA , filters and so on

Hi, I'm a new user of ADS. The version ADS2005A I used is restricted in some functions, such as HB lite etc. Sorry, I haven't used the former version of ADS and can't help you.
Regards.

use ads2005a , it has the budget simulation , with about 40 measurments for the receiver performance , it is very good

also u can use the MWO VSS , for system simulation , and check the help

RF budget analysis in ADS is very accurate & it covers all the meauremets even links equations.

RF budget analysis is to make the budget parameters of the receiver , like the NF at each component , and the signal power , and gain , IIP3 , IIP2 , and so on

Hi,
you may want to try Microwave System Calculator.
To build a line up can't be more easier!
Oh ... yes ... it's free!
Please have a look and comment!

Max
