Hi,

I read that in adpll frquency tracking is discrete where as in an analog pll, it is continuous. Does this mean that the output frequency of the adpll can be locked to only some fixed frequencies depending on the freq resolution of adpll.

For eg. if the adpll resolution is 1 MHz, and the reference signal is 100 MHz, it is able to lock. Now when i change my reference signal to 105.5 MHz, does it not acqurie lock????? It can only lock either at 104MHz or 105Mhz bcoz freq resolution is 1MHz.is this true?????
