Hi
We want to design 802.11b/g soc chip.
Perhaps we will choose 65nm or 90nm tsmc process. The digital core voltage and IO voltage of 65nm or 90nm are 1.2V and 3.3V respectively. 65nm or 90nm also provide 1.8V mos transistors.
We are not decided which voltage transistors adopted for RF and analog circuits. For 1.2V, design is the most difficult and power consumption is the lowest.
For 3.3V, design is the easiest and power consumption is the highest. For 1.8V, design difficult is middle and power consumption is middle. But if we adopt 1.8V transistors , it will add about 2 more layers.
Which voltage transistors are most adopted in RF and analog circuits for wlan chips of mass production of large companies such as realtek, marvel and etc? what's your opinion about which voltage transistor adopted for RF and analog circuits in 802.11b/g chip?
