hi umer!
dats very simple ...
if u want to control speed than it can be done by varying the duty cyle given to dc motor...or another method is using relays and voltage regulators ie 7805 series//
and direction controlled by using H bridge..ie combination of relays with dc supply..
hope u understand....
i have controlled the speed by varying the duty cycle and direction by H bridge or this i have used five switches to increase speed to decrease speed to stop motor to revolve in clk direction and counter clk dir. CAN I USE SERIAL PORT OF MICRO CONTROLLER INSTEAD OF SWITCHES IF YES THEN HOW
yes umer
it can be done using serial port.
wat u have to do is to send some combinations like for example first five combinations for 3 bits..000,001,010,011,100 through serial port to microcontroller. then in ur program decode the combinations as u wish and perform different operations(clk wise, anticlk wise..).
hope u understand
