How to program or design hilbert transform in VHDL or Matlab?

Hi ,
I am designing USB in AM in VHDL.
I donno how to design the Hilbert transform in VHDL so i m using matlab(even in that i hardly have any knowledge).when i pass input as sine wave to the hilbert transform,it should generate output as cosine.Can anyone out there help me how to program or design hilbert transform.please help me.
