should psub2 be connected

There is something wrong with my layout. DRC indicated the only error is "pwell soft connected",but what is it on the hell?

Thank you very much for help!!!!

It seems you have two grouds: VSS1 and VSS2. If there is only PSUB, DRC will give a violation"pwell soft connected". you should add PSUB2 to isolate the two ground.

Thank you both of you! Let me have a try

Re: Help!!!What is "pwell soft connected", a DRC e

From what I understand about soft connects, Both pwells should have diffusion with contacts given to supply individually. If one of them is not connected to supply using the proper layer, u might get this error.

Re: Help!!!What is "pwell soft connected", a DRC e

"Soft Connects" or "weak connects" usually refer to connections made on diffusions/wells or poly. If this error occurs, a connection on metal is expected by the DRC. I suspect you have a pwell connected to another pwell, but there is no direct metal connection between supply and the second pwell.

Re: Help!!!What is "pwell soft connected", a DRC e

soft connection means two well or two diff region connectted only through well or diff, there is no metal connection between them.

Thanks, everybody above. The problem was settled.
I connected two seperate pwells directly by metal, rather than overlaped them.

Thank U
