8 bit divider

Hey guys,

I'm currently looking for a good Architecture for 8-bit divider (the divident is 16-bit and divisor is 8-bit, the quotient is supposed to be 8-bit). The one I previously used was some "restoring division algorithm" and 16 iterations of subtractions are needed to obtain an 8-bit quotient, so it was working really slowly.

Can anybody give me some advice on faster division algorithms with simple circuits architecture? I know there's a lot online like radix-2 or radix-4 division algorithms, but they usually have complex architecture and seem to be impractical for me to implement since I have to design the schematic and do the layout using cadence. Many thanks!!!!!!:D

nobody knows? or is it not the right forum?

8bits divider

See these books....

Hope this helps!

what are dividers in architecture

sorry I can't find the file, seems it has been removed

16 bit divider

I checked the links they are working fine for me!
Go to EDA E-books Upload/Download and in search
type arithmetic
You will get the books!
