Re: I need an orientation on how to attenuate signals for my
Hello everybody:
I have a hitachi 20 Mhz oscilloscope, I used it in my lab with the original probe, but now I'm using it a lot to measure signals from my car. I don't want to use the original probe and I want to build a good attenuate box, with selectable attenuator scale, but I don't know how to do it.
In addition, if I build it, I could make larger and strongest probes.
Anybody could give me an orientation on how to do it?
I want to know how the original probes attenuate the signals, I dont's know if it's probes attenuate signals using resistors or something else.
I have only one more question:
Somebody know what is the maximum large for an osc probe?
Thank you very much.

I forgot to mention that I want to put this in a box. So I could connect the osc to the attenuator box, and then connect the probes to it.
Thanks again.
