There are alot of conditions to setup an EMC lab suck as: Grounding system, Chamber equipments, and EMC measurements instruments...

I have carried out EMC testing in Malaysia at the Sirim site in Kuala Lumpur. They where very professional and quite cheap compared to Japanese/European test houses I was used to. Hope that helps.

I was at Sirim about 3 years ago and if my memory is correct they charged us around US$600/day (We were designing for Sony then so we may have got a cheaper rate). This is extremely cheap compared to UK/Japenese sites I have tested at where the usual fee is around US$1500/day.

I only performed radiated emissions and a safety test so I was there for three days.

If you want to know how long it will take for testing to gain CE accreditation then I am afraid that depends on your product and what tests you are performing.

My company designs consumer electronics and we normally carry out CE, FCC and VCCI minimum testing all at once. As a rough estimate for you I normally budget about 10 days to complete all my accredited testing, though I would normally go in for a day or two before hand to do some investigative testing. Remember despite your best design efforts you have to go in thinking you may fail one or more of the tests and spend time fixing that problem.

If your quote for 4 tests include radiated and conducted emissions as well as at least radiated immunity then I would say that the quote is pretty good as these three tests alone could take 2-3 days.

hmm...i also got a n experience conducting a testing in SIRIM...they all are good...they train us how to use that equipment..they also allow us to put our opinion on our testing....the price also is cheap...i spent around USD500 for 4 testing including FTB test, Surge Test, Impuls test and deep test....hmm...i suggest u to try this place...Malaysia is Beautiful...i also got experience do testing at University Teknologi Malaysia...This place also quiet good...I got a contact there name Khairul...his contact number is +060132935676..Maybe he can help u...he is a kind person also....

In Bangalore you can perform EMC test at ETDC, Peenya, Bangalore and get a certification. But there are some private labs in Bangalore where you can do the testing and get the report. But you cant get the certification.

We designed the PLC products, and performed the EMC tests for the EC mark in the TUV product service. The test fee based on the tests items and tests days. The report fee is RMB10000, listing fee is RMB2000.

for example:
One PLC products, we will applicate the EN61000-6-2 and EN61000-6-4, especially the EN61131-2 tests. May be RMB40000 for the tests fee and about 4~5days for the tests in the TUV ps.
