ac analysis for spice

i am trying to calculate small signal AC gain of a circuit in H-spice but am not able to do it as spice is giving convergence error. Problem is not getting solved even by using PWL in power supply VCC as then it gives some absurd value of gain please help me in solving this convergence problem as it regularly gives head ache during simulations

thanks

spice convergence problem in transient analysis

does dc converge?
AC has no convergence problem

ya DC does coverge even though i havnt checked it in that mode as most of my simulations are of transeint type and here it does give convergence problem.
But even AC analysis ig giving this problem .....can u tell me some general steps by which this CONVERGENCE problem can be handled.

I'm a little confused. does the transient or AC not converge? or both has convergence problem. I have never seen AC convergence problem. however, transient convergence problems have many trips to recover.
for example, use pwl supply, change start step, change step, node initial, and so on

AC analysis based on DC point, so there's no AC convergence problem if you passed DC or transient analysis.

yes, there's no AC convergence. maybe all small signal simulation has no convergence problem,is it?

Dc convergence of your simulation maybe have some problems. your circuit have an error quicent dc point then your ac simulaiton will get some absurd output

in my case convergence problem comes in transient also but then i remove it using PWL in supply but what is troubling me is convergence problem during AC analysis since i want to measure bandwidth of my circuit ....................is there any other way of measuring BW or can this convergenc problem in AC analysis be solved.

replace the PWL supply power with a DC supply power, because ac analysis caculates the dc operating point firstly!
