Hi all,

Is any possibility to convert the netlist to schematics (in ORCAD).
I have the netlist in text format, that needed to be changed to Schematics using ORCAD.

Is any other software available for this?

my strong feeling is not possible to convert in first place,may be pcb gurs out here can come out with their suggestions.....

Since the schematic is electrically connected and netlist is just in text format? may be you can try with third party tools .....but then i doubt.

Hi Ramesh,

I got some information saying that, its possible but really tough.
It needs lot of manual work like getting IC info, foot print etc for all the components.

Instead its better to re-do the schematics.

As i told you in earlier mail,its not easy as u think,since schematics is an electrical
format whereas ur netlist is in notepad format,its tough to accomplish.

Yes Ramesh, its not possible by any tool directly.
We need to give lot of manual inputs, instead it is better to re-do the schematics.
So doing the same. Thanks for ur inputs

try to download the free tarial version of it
from this site

i just download it from only 3 days and i looking for the full version of it
but if i find it i can't put the full version here because of the COPYRIGHT
so i will send it to u by email
plz if you find the full version before me emailed it to me
 

hi hbaocr,
*.PCB file must be a cadstar file or powerpcb file.
try opening the file in this tools.

I can not say about Orcad.But in Cadstar you can generate schematics from Netlist. Netlist should be in RINF format.

I hv read about this on web. I think the software company is from UK. It must be either pulsonix or easy pc. Both r from the same group.
