I have two designs
A and B.Their external pins are ssame including clock. But internal logic is different.I am using quartus_II software with cyclone devices.I have pin configuration of design A How can i import pin configuration of A to B.I am unable to find that options. Please help me

query

you may try to find the qsf file in project A, this file includes the pin assignment under the quartus_II software, just copy the pin assignment of project A, then copy to qsf file of project B, you will get the same configuration of pin assignment for A & B.

good luck!

Re: query

Hi
Thank u for suggestion
Incase of xilinx ISE for above case how to deal with pins and clock settings and design files

Re: query

Instead of qsf file, in xilinx ucf file.........

Both qsf file in quartus and ucf file in ISE are constraints file and clear ASCII text, you can edit them in any text editor tools by yourself. In my opinion, edit the files is easier and more convenient than assign the pins in GUI

query

There are two ways of doing it:
1. Use "configuration" during compilation, more about it you can find in Ben Kohen book

2. use attributes to assign the pins in your source file then all you need just copy and paste from one source file to another
