multiplexer implementation

What is the diff between implementation using 5 X 4-to-1 mux compare to 16-to-1 mux ?
Since the output is same but , what is the diff betweeon both of them??

Thanks!

multiplexer implementation

5 X 4-to-1 mux will have more control loading (loading on select pins)
compare to 16-to-1 mux also the input to output delay will be more.
If ur using descrete chips for muxex then PCB cost will be more in case of
5 X 4-to-1 mux.
Any comments welcome!

Hi,

Mux16to1 will has a lot of LUT compare to 5X4-to-1 mux.

5X4-to-1 mux much more smaller...

What your means by PCB cost will be increase?
What is the reason?

How about we implement to convert 4-to-1 mux into 3X 2-to-1 mux ?
Thanks for help...
