signal conditioning

Hi all,
i want to convert an analog voltage signal(ramp) which is from 0 to 5V -- 1 to 3V level.

That is, I have to attenuate 5V to 3V and 0V to 1V. Any Idea??

Thank you.

Re: signal conditioning

Hi,

Use this equation:
output=0.4*input +1.
So you need to amplify the signal by a gain of 0.4, then level shift it by 1v.
You can do this simply by an op-amp circuit.

Regards,
Shohdy

Re: signal conditioning

Hi Naisare,

Multiply by 0,4 and add 1 volt dc.
