Hello everyone,

I've made a schematic-level test bench to estimate the converter's eficiency. I use a current source vdc to be the input of the conveter. And I just calculate the efficiency simply as (load current) / (the current through vdc). Is this way right? Thank you!

hi, I think you may need to use the calculator to get a average value of the VIN*IN and VOUT*IOUT

you can not use current source to it's input.
you can use voltage source for your DC_DC convertor input, and measure input current, and outout current.
you must have exact input voltage and current for caclulate input power, and output voltage& current
for calculate output power.
with this 2 result calculate efficiency.

Regards
Davood

Thank you guys! Davood Amerion, sorry I made a mistake in my first post. It should be voltage source! Thank you!
