Hi

In market, so many LCD displays are available. But most of the displays follow a similar structure. I mean if you design a controller for 4-digit, it can also be used for high end displays like 2x20, 4x20 displays with slight modifications based on specifications of the displays.

So first you'd better go for selection of one display product. From the datasheet of that display, you will get more information how to design a controller for that display.

What kind of display are you using??

i am looking at sharp b/w stn lcd module LM038QBTS10.
i have read few lcd controller datsheet.
one concept i was not clear was frame rate modulation (frm).
frm is modulating a pixel’s on vs. off time over multiple frames.
normally what will the frame count on which pixel will be modulated?
how do we arrive at that number?
any link/paper explainning about it
thanks
