Dear all :
i have a question:
if i build a antenna's model and run it in HFSS. then i can get the s-parameter file .
now , can i import the s-parameter file into other softwares to do further processing ?
for example , from Hfss to ie3d ?
appreciate your reply .

Of course...
S-parameters a set of linear characterization of a system under the certain operating point or conditions such as characteristic impedance ,terminations etc. So, s-parameters are universal "definition" method either active or passive circuits.
S, you can use these sets under different simulators.

Re: [question] can we use s-parameter files in different sof

If you save S-parameter into standard file format such like touchstone format,
it can be used by any EDA program which provides import function.

To bigboss and ajhsu:
thank you very much for your replys
