Help max232

Hi all,
I want to build a simple rs232 <=> ttl (3.3V).
What type of converter can I use?
Thanks.

Re: Help max232

For 3.3V there are special RS-232 drivers available.
Try:
ADM1385ARS
ADM3202ARU
LTC1386CS , or similar ..
or you can use any of MAX232 compatibile drivers but you will have to convert from 5V to 3.3V. For such a conversion you can try the attached circuit .. This is probably the cheapest option ..
Regards,
IanP

Re: Help max232

I use max3232
I like the very good ESD protection of maxim driver chips.

Hi IanP

Can I have some of your point ? I need it to download some E-Books that might
be useful for my science fair project .

Thanks

Re: Help max232

If you only need one channel try the ADM101E from analog. Small foot print and needs one charge pump cap.
