Hi All,

I designed a linear PA for my school project. However I am experiencing problems with the test board layout using Autocad. I am trying to use FR4 substrate, but I don’t know the thickness of each layer, the size of via and component dimensions (cap, inductor..)…Can someone please give me some advise, or if someone can share some project that will be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

bouchy

Re: PA design

is your plan to use the multilayer or single layer board?
what is your power rate?
why use fr-4,although it is cheap, but i think y will meet a lot of problems!

Re: PA design

this is a 1w PA and I am planning to use 4-layer board. At this stage I am looking at different substrate; fr-4 is one and GETEK is another. If someone has any layout for me to use as guideline, or to get me started I will appreciate it very much.

Thanks

Bouchy
