Can a 12v battery charged by lower voltage input like 10v,6v etc ,make me detaily understand about battery charging concepts with respect to both current and voltage

a lower input voltage than that of battery cannot charge it.

If the input voltage is equal to battery voltage but the input current is low the battery will get charge or not?
 

Get and go through a basic circuit theory book to get the clear concepts.

It is the voltage that drives the current (charge flow). If the applied voltage to the battery is lower, the battery will force current into the charger but you want it to be the other way, right?

If the voltage of the charger is larger than the battery voltage, then charge will flow into the battery and the battery will get charged. The battery stores charge by using chemical reactions.
 

Hi,

Charging a battery means "pushing" current into the battery.
The direction of a charging current obviously needs to be in opposite direction than when you connect a load to the battery.

If the input voltage is equal to battery voltage but the input current is low the battery will get charge or not?
Just imagine there is a resistor in one of the connecting wires. A low ohmic one, maybe 1 milliohm only.

Now use ohmic law and calculate current and direction of current.

Electrical current flow is similar to water flow.
Voltage is similar to water level.
Now imagine two tanks connected with a pipe.
In both tanks you have the same level of water.
In what direction does the water in the pipe flow?

If both tanks have the same water level and both tanks are at the same height then water doesn't flow in any direction.

Voltage is like pressure. More pressure you apply more current flows.

R = V/I

I = V/R

If R is constant for a battery (internal resistance of battery) then If V is increased then I also increases but you cannot apply 325V DC to 12V battery because the battery explode and I have tested this with a CR2032. I had applied 12V to CR2032 3V Coin Cell and it exploded.

It is a lithium based battery and you must take sufficient care in handling. They can catch fire too. They have electrolyte (the voltage is too high for water to be used as solvent) and organic solvent and lithium will catch fire very easily (Just like sodium and potassium; if you drop a piece of potassium on water, it will simply cat fire).

With bigger Li cells, you should be very careful. Actual material in a coin cell is only a few mg but it is wise to be careful with Li batteries.

In my personal opinion, treat all batteries with large AH capacities with great respect.

Same applies to Electroytic Capacitors. Once I was servicing a Philips Tape recorder and accidentaly applied 12V to 100uF 6.3V Electolytic Capacitor and it exploded and the rubber at the bottom of the capacitor flew in the air splashing the electrolyte on my face.

Never short terminals of batteries and never apply more than rated charging voltage to the battery terminals.

I am currently working on lowpower solar inverter ,my solar panel input is nearly 6v and 150mah current, my setup consist of three 4v 1Ah battery to form 12v ,u guys share your ideas to charge the battery using provided solar input,I got stucked
 

Hi,

You don´t expect that we design the complete charger for you, do you?

So yo could divide it into two main problems:
1) step up voltage from 6V to xxxV to charge the battery
--> look for power conversion. especially "step up converter", or "boost converter". Done many times before. All information already available in the forum. But for sure there is not "the one and only" solution, there are many possible solutins.

2) build a charger circuit which takes care of battery voltage and adjusts charging current.
--> look for charging circuits. It depends on battery chemistry. Charging techniques. Integrated solution or DIY. Again many possible solutions.

No i didnt expect the whole circuit,just a idea .
