Anyone used/using PIC16f527 controller for op amp and ADC functions?
I want to develop a circuit which requires op amp and adc. So i selected this controller.
Can anyone share the experience of using this controller and any suggestions about development board.
I have PICkit2 and this development board doesnt support PIC16f527.

My Pickit2 DOES support the 16F527. Make sure you have the last device update file and you fill find it under "baseline devices".

Brian.

I can help you with using Comparators and ADC. Mention which Compiler you are using.

Thank you for the reply Betwixt.
I am using MPLAB X IDE v3.40. Under debug option, pickit2 is marked in red.
Can you please share the software you are using to program?

I understand. The problem isn't the PIC being recognized, it is the Pickit2 (now obsolete) not being fully compatible with the latest MPLABX program.

If you are using Windows, try running the Pickit2 program (Pickit2V2.exe) as a stand alone application. You can make it scan for updated hex files so it automatically programs the PIC when your software is compiled/assembled.

If you are using the Linux version of MPLABX, take a look at: **broken link removed** I have not tried it but I think it should work.

Brian.
