what does explicity specify the ram access type mean ?

Hi, I ran across some sentnece like "if you do not explicity specify the Ram access type".

what does explicity specify the ram access type mean ?

Re: what does explicity specify the ram access type mean ?

My guess would be that this refers to either async vs sync access, or refers to the read-during-write behavior for a ram.

Re: what does explicity specify the ram access type mean ?

Hi,

It could be IC design, VHDL, or C...

--> It depends on the context.

"if you do not explicity specify the Ram access type"
In this context I would say READ, WRITE, READ-MODIFY-WRITE, others....
