Hello,

can we use set_dont_touch command in DC on certain components in our design if we do not want to optimize them?

Also, when should we use this command? After elaborate or before?

If i set_dont_touch on a component and do ungroup -all -flatten after that will it modify my design that i chose not to optimize?

Yes, we can use that command with DC.
Ussually, elaborating the design does not related to optimization, so, no need to apply constraint before elaborating step.
The dont_touch attribute has higher priority than ungroup as I known.
