You can check PCM29xx series from TI. They provide many related info and tools, including evaluation board on site.

I mean an external oudio output. an indipendend sound card for my PC to connect to USB port.

it should be an usb d/a converter to converte data from usb into analog audio format.

i hope to be clear

Ok NOW i understand BETTER ,,, ok i did something like this some years ago ,,
I didn't design it ,just used it to make a SIGNAL GENERATOR .
the project was based on a PARALLEL port sound card .. wich was just two DACs ..
look for that on the web. the guy also gave the drivers and everything .
Now this can easily be converterted to USB and also use the same DRIVERS .Just by using the FTDI usb chip in mode PARALLEL port EMULATION
the usb device is seen as another parallel port. And the supplied drivers will work .

Cheers

Nearly forgot to add: it's based on the Texas Instuments PCM2902.

These PCM** devices are very good and simple to use.

do you think windows OS will be able to use standard PCI audio device and this device separately? will it be indipendent?
