Will you give us little more details.. like which programmer/software you are using to program your chip.

hello
i use epicwin and epic and ICprog for writing program to chip but these are look like and i see message in all kind of sofware , my program is connected by LPT to my PC but i think the software cant find my lpt for programmer but my LPT port work properly with other devices for example i can connect my printer by this port.
thank you

problem with PIC

If you are running WindowsXP/2000 you will need ICProg drivers to enable access for parallel port.

Check your printer port settings in the bios?
I think you mean the pic is not Blank?
What you have to do is erase the pic first, that is, if it's got flash memory. Most programmers can do this. The reason why the programer reports a blank chip when you have nothing in it, is because the i/o lines most probably have pull ups and reading all f's is the same as a blank pic.

Re: problem with PIC

you might need to install this driver

Re: problem with PIC

hai

If you are having this problem in 98 and Xp ,then the issue may be with your hardware.

Check the programming voltage going to the VPP pin for correct value (Above some 12V)

The chip may not be getting erased because of the absebce of proper Vpp.
Run the hardware check and verify Data out, data in and Vpp,VCC etc.

I don't think ICProg need this drivers!!

Re: problem with PIC

Check the message once again.
Probably the message is: "Pic is not blank", i.e. not empty.
Whitout pic in the programmer's socket, programmer's software reads 1's, that is usual situation with blank chip.
I'm using ICprog and Winpic on WinXP without any additional drivers.
