Dear Friends,

I need a help from you, I have a samsung crt flat TV, Its not getting ON. I was checked the fuse, main capacitor, rectifier bridge, posistor and power IC all are ok, there is no problem. But, the TV still not getting ON, No standby light also. Now what to do? and I want schematic diagram of SAMSUNG CS21B501HL 21" CRT FLAT TV, please help me ..........

You checked several power supply components, which is the first thing to try.

No standby light

Some tv's let you choose not to use standby mode, to save electricity. Then the standby light is off. (Standby is convenient because it makes the tv turn on quickly.)

Anyway if nothing lights up then it suggests no power is getting to the rest of the tv. You'll need to check voltage at a few places inside the set. To a few IC's, ec.

Can you confirm that your remote control is producing light (infrared)?

Is your power button reliable? (My inexpensive tv has gotten so the power button is unreliable. It needs to be pressed firmly, usually more than once. However the remote control is reliable as long as the batteries are good.)

Thanks Bro,

The power button is Okay, I am not seeing any bulgy capacitors, How to check the voltage measurement using multi-meter ? which range should I keep in meter ? In transformer what should I check, AC or DC in multi-meter? where will be the +B volt, if you give me the image, that is fine please.......

It will be difficult without a schematic. Good photos of the component and circuit trace sides of what appears to be the power supply would be a good start.
For standby mode to be present, a low voltage power supply like 5VDC needs to be present on the microprocessor that controls power on function for both remote and power touch switch operation. A part# from the microprocessor would also be helpful. More photos, the better for identification of circuits.
It helps to line up photos as if you're viewing the component side then flip over to view the circuit side.

Typically the high voltage is on the right and power supply is on the left, unless a separate board vertically. At this point, we are not worried about HV / flyback circuit.

The SMPS IC might be faulty. If standby indicator doesn't turn ON it means the MCU is also OFF. MCU gets power only after SMSP IC (usually a big IC with a heatsink) is faulty. Also LOT might be faulty or some problem in horizontal drive circuit.

OK Thanks,
May I get schematic diagram please...... and the power IC (with heatsink is good) because sometime TV is getting ON, but sometimes it's Not getting ON. There is was not found any loose contact like cracked lines, dry joints or bulgy capacitors....
