Ferrite core Effective area (Ae) and Window area (Aw) calculation

How Ferrite core Effective area (Ae) and Window area (Aw) calculation are calculated?
Attached files have data for E20/10/6 core.

The are is 32.1 mm^2 , how this value is calcualted?

First of all, the Ae is calculated by the area of the face of the center leg, Length x width.

Second the given drawing is horrible, very difficult to follow and i do not think the numbers are even correct.

From the given drawing the length x width is D1 x D3 = 5.9mm x 5.9mm = 34.81mm squared
