I am loading an schematic design I have made into Isis, to then convert into a pcb with Ares.

Just to do a simple test for the conversion, even if the schematic is just beginning, you seem to generate a netlist first to go to Ares.

I mean, I press the Ares red button, but when Ares does open I don't get anything. There's probably something I am not doing in Isis.

How should I proceed?

In ARES will get you what your had used in ISIS schematic design...click on ARES it open a Black window..@left side you find the component window..it will present...if don`t find right click-->Place-->Component....

OK, I haven't finished the schematic yet, so I can't load the whole design into Ares yet.

What I tried now and worked is placing the parts in the black window.

Let's go back a bit to schematic: I have been trying to modify and/or create some missing parts, but I was not too successful. How do you to add a component you designed into the library?

In ARES you find out library in main menu...library-->library manager-->create library.in create add a component value & resonant...and save as.lib

OK, I think I understand how you create a part in Ares. But how do I create in Isis?

I tried to use an existing one (SPST) to make a toggle switch with three connections points, but I'm not sure if I made it right.

Should I follow the same path as on Ares?
