Does anyone in this forum have IEEE membership?

What is the difference between IEEE and this forum?
I guess IEEE mainly focuses on theory, but our forum on experience.
I respect many guru in this forum, but maybe many of them don't have IEEE membership.
If any guru has IEEE membership, pls let me know.
 

Hi, I don't think to be a guru, but I am a former IEEE member.

IEEE is not especially focused in theory, indeed in their magazines (Spectrum in particular) you can find various articles also with good practical value.
They also support various user forum, but they are not as interactive as this one.

I left IEEE because I wasn't getting enough value for money from my subscriptions. On the other hand, many other persons don't share my opinion!
