I'm using LPC2148 for my project. Just I switch on the micro controller it getting more heat.

And other functions wise works well.

I measure short Vcc and GND using multimeter . Its having 20 Ohm resistance.

And also draw 500mA.

How to solve this.

Hi,

Find the short circuit !

Have you got everything plugged in the right way around ?

When you say other things are working, like you mean the display is on ok ?

Have you made any modifications to the board that might have created a short by poor soldering or wrong component ??

Getting hot and drawing 500ma usually means something will be damaged.

I'm working in that board last 2 months. I face this problem last 3 days.

Normally its draw only 130 mA.

When it is getting heat and its start to draw 500 mA.

Do you observe the high current with LPC2148 hold in reset? If so, it's most likely an internal damage of the device (e.g. a GPIO cell) because all GPIOs pins are tristated in reset and can't sink or source current.

I switch on the controller whole day. It was working good.

I checked all GPIOs its all good.

It was not reset.

When I start fuse the hex file in to the micro controller . I need switch off then switch on then only I can fuse the hex file in to the micro controller.
