I'm fresh designer for PLL.

I want to simulate 'PLL Noise PSD' on transient simulation.

I had been using Analog design environment -> results -> direct plot -> main form.

but I couldn't see funtion of 'PLL Noise PSD'.

When I tried to plot 'PLL noise PSD' on transient analysis, the direct plot window shows the message "The PLL Noise PSD data is not available ...".

In spectre output log, I found the error message - "Error found by spectre. ERROR : PSD can not be calculated for lacking the instance called 'vco_freq' for period measurement! "

If anybody knows how to simulate 'PLL noise PSD' on transient simulation, plz tell me about the method step by step.

Hi,
You can use the psd function of the calculator.
For more details take a look at this document (p. 89):

Hi, AdvaRes.
I'm using Cadence IC615.
Do you know how to get the 'Waveform user guide' for IC615 ?

My experience with this cadence version is limited. I rarely used it.
Maybe if you search in the documentation provided with the software you can find the information that you are looking for.
