Hi,
I am looking for an IC similar to 565 or 4046 to use as PLL to demodulate FM broadcast signals.
(The problem is that the 565 is obsolete and I cant find any place around to buy some. the problem with 4046 is that it works with square wave and I need to have it worked by sinusoidal wave)

If you know other IC which are available in the market I would appreciate it if you let me know. Thanks.

Normally, before FM demodulator stage, there should have a limiter stage which make the signal as a rectangular wave or square wave to avoid AM interference noise. So, the input to the demodulator stage should be square wave.

Use X4046.
Check the web page here.

Thanks. But I am aware that IC 565 works with sinusoidal signal and using an IC which works with sinusoidal signal is my preference since it reduces the number of required stages in my design (say no schmitt trigger, etc). I found some, but unfortunately they are obsolete and are not shipped.
