hello guys
i need an ic that multiply two input(A and B) and generate one outputC and here they are:
input A= -1.5 ~ +1.5 v DC
input B= 100hz 2Vrms
outputC = pulse or square wave with an amplitude that vary with input A

i have tried with ad633 but the output could not be variable & square(or pulse)
it is only square OR variable SIN
i have tried to limit and vary vcc and vdd but not working

please how can i do it ?
which ic can do that?

(sorry for poor lang)

Use a comparator to convert the sinewave to a square-wave before sending it to the AD633 input. A LM311 comparator should work if the frequency isn't too high.

thank you bro.
is there a single ic that can do that?

I think, you should try to describe the intended operation more exactly. According to your description it's not multiply.

Why do you say that? :-? He said he wants a square-wave whose amplitude is proportional to a DC value. That can be achieved by multiplying the square wave amplitude by the DC amplitude.

To mohsentalar: No, I don't know of a single IC that will do it all.

The question title (and also the text) says "multiplying a sin with a DC to get a square wave". That's at least unclear, because it involves an amplitude measurement with unspecified behaviour. Possible are e.g. peak detector, RMS detector. But which filter characeristic?
