[related_power_pin in .lib File]

Hi,

In the .lib files, what does related_power_pin/related_ground_pin will be present for each pin.
Exactly in the ASIC, which tool will be using them and if I dont mention them, what will be the effect?.
 

Dear Murali,
These pins are used during power analysis and irdrop analysis. By declaring related power pins and related nets, one lets tool know power rail that will supply current to the standard cell in question, and ground rail on the return path.

Thanks for the Reply. Now I understand.
I have the following scenario :

When I am writing a CPF for top model, I have assigned PHY model to be in Power Domain A.
And I have separate CPF for PHY [ set_macro_model ] , in which I have declared boundary ports for different power domains - B, C, D. In design, I have connected ports of PHY w.r.t the power domain - B,C, D.

Now, my question is In the PHY.lib file, I have declared a port/pin belongs to Power_Domain B using related_power_supply. How the tools will infer and implement, as I have already placed the complete PHY in Power_Domain A [ in TOP CPF ].
