I am using LPC1343 micro controller to interface with flash card in PC card IO mode as I am not left with enough memory for IDE mode which uses DMA, but I am stuck with few problems. I have gone through all the specifications but still I am not clear about interfacing of a few pins. I am wondering whether I can interface the pins IREQ, WE, IOIS16 to IO pins. :-?

Also I think that CF doesn't specify any standard interfacing technique such as SPI, I2C. Then should all the control signals (CE1, IOWR, IORD, IREQ, INPACK, WAIT) along with address and data should be interfaced with IO port of MCU. :-D

Furthermore I have used 11 address pins and 8 data pins from MCU to compact flash. Is it possible to use only 3 pins like IDE mode or 8 pins only, or is it possible to use multiplexed address and data bus? :?:

If there is any good handbook/cookbook available to Compact Flash available then please provide.
