Hi!

I am doing some simulations in hyperlynx PI with DC Drop simulation. He gives me the results in current density (A/mm^2). How can i know what is the maximum current density that i can have in a power plane?

Thank you!

No one knows what is the maximum current density in A/mm^2 that we can have in a pcb?

current limits can be calculated with the IPC-2152 formulas.
conservative values are about 10-15 A/mm^2.
