Hello all,

I am designing a two-layer PCB in Allegro PCB Designer. (My school has a T-Tech machine that this job will be sent to.) I would like to route signals on the top and leave the bottom as a ground plane with a few short routes on the bottom. I have both layers in the stack-up set up as positive artwork signal layers. The bottom layer is a dynamic shape connected to the GND net. If I route like this, the only signals on the bottom layer are GND and vias to GND. If I remove the dynamic GND shape, route, and re-add the shape to the bottom layer, the voids are automatically created, so the traces are on both the top and bottom. However, GND is routed everywhere as a bunch of traces.

Is there any way to allow for a small amount of autorouting nets on the bottom layer, or is this something that I would have to route by hand and set static before autorouting?

Thanks!

Hi, parasonic

Could you please give the picture info for this issue, because that image is very useful for finding solution.
