Hi, Can someone explain about the need and usage of Rail Analysis in Digital Design. I am using Cadence Encounter for this. Kndly share any PDF/Docs u ahev related to this.#

This is necessary to check the IR and electro migration to know if your power routing is efficient for your design
 
Thank you RCA .... I am a beginner, when I do the Rail analysis in Encounter it gives me a result but I am not sure what to look for in it though I know to play around it. I dont know what are the peculiar points or parameters to be looked after (ex IR or electro migration). Can you share your views please ?
